JUBILEE CONCERT.

A wave of nostalgia dominated a concert that remembered the last six decades of the Queen's reign.
Some of the vocals didn't survive that long sixty year distance. Sir Cliff, Sir Elton and Sir Paul were
woefully inadequate in keeping in tune and although surrounded by excellant sparkling backing some
notes were never reached, some notes were never held, some notes were never written. We all know
some singers use tuners to keep them in tune on their records. Will I am freely admits it (as we noticed)
but Sir Tom,Jessie J, and Dame Shirley and others had no problem in performing as we know them and
therefore the audiences must have sighed with relief . Being there proberbly one didn't notice. The
excitement of the moment and the enjoyment of seeing living legends on stage in front of them. Live
performance can hide the defects, however on TV nothing is hidden and on live TV nothing is
sacred and artists are at the mercy of the sound man and the relaxed critical opinions of the viewers.
I'm afraid I was one of those viewers and was disappointed that songs I remember not being quite
as I remembered them. That's life !
