Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass were immensly popular in the sixties and seventies with the striking sound of their instremental take on recent hits as well as some brand new material which captured the public's imagination especially in the album market. The massive success of "Rise" and "Diamonds" was mainly due to a comeback in the eighties with a nod towards disco dance material but his big hit " This guys in love with you" was a vocal than spanned the world with over five million sales.
