LLANDUDNO YOUTH MUSICAL THEATRE.

Philip and Margaret Jones joined me on Sunday talking about LYMT in Llandudno. They
started the society for young people and now after 40 years it is as strong as ever with
many youngsters benefitting from the experience  having  gone on to a professional
acting career.  There are two societies...Stage Notes for the younger ones and LYMT

BARNUM.

To celebrate the fortieth year they put on Barnum at Venue Cymru a few weeks ago.
A very impressive production with a well rehearsed ensemble and very competent
performances from the leading players....I have to mention Joshua Davies who played
P.T.Barnum and belied his young age to me and gave an outstanding performance in
a part that requires professionalism in acting and performance. After 40 years a landmark
show and next year OKLAHOMA  at Venue Cymru July 2019.

About ten years of EVERY single that Bobby Vee produced for Capitol/EMI in the
sixties. It makes for too much sameness in sound occasionally interrupted with
something completely unusual. Vee's voice was very "Buddy Holly" and he was
directed to copy him by his producer Snuff Garrett.....however by CD 3 in the
collection he was reverting to his real voice and although he managed a hit in
America at the end of the sixties with MY GIRL/HEY GIRL he completely
disappeared from the charts and now performs in Sixties revival touring shows.
