Steve Lawrence is an excellent singer who obviously went along with the current trend
in the sixties of trite commercial singles. I don't blame him. "Go away little girl" was a million
selling chart topping single. There were other reasonable hits...some very pleasant....
especially his cover of " Portrait of my love"from Britain's Matt Munro but don't
spend your money if you are expecting the classy music on his albums of later years.
This is sixties pop aimed at teenagers. *******.

A discussion about the state of modern musicals with Philip and Margaret Jones from Llandudno
Youth Music theatre including their recent performance of LOOSERVILLE  at Theatre
Colwyn.... A well presented and tightly directed quite unknown musical was a delight
 encouraging young people in the area to participate in performance and acting. Their
next production will be "Elf" in December in Llandudno.
