The album is not expensive(£8) and that voice is very attractive. ****.

This album is an attempt to recreate the successful Ole a La Lee albums of the fifties recorded by Peggy Lee. O Sullivan is a fan of Miss Lee and this slightly latin album is a homage to her
performance and style.   I'm afraid it does not quite come off.  All of the songs were written
by Gilbert  and I found not enough excitement in the material he has composed. I suppose the
real problem is that no music is familiar as it was on Peggy Lee's album and therefore lacks
the sparkle . It is lightly latin. It has backing singers. The latin group are very accomplished.
It just lacks personality.***.

of our current singers but then, she only had commercially simple tunes to deal with and if
that's your preference then this 4cd package is worth the cost if still available. Because EMI have

Both these downloads are worth downloading if you are a fan of Buble but not

A mish-mash of the few singles released in the sixties by Doris plus most of her film
soundtrack songs none of which were outstanding apart from "Move over Darling" which
was in the top ten over here in Britain.   There are missing sixties singles such as
" The sound of Music" and a track from her album "Latin for lovers". It is Doris Day
singing clearly through all the tracks except the last two unreleased singles where
she double tracked her voice and is hardly recognisable as the Doris we know and
love, but the album has 26 tracks so if you're a devout fan this album is a must. ***.
