In 1959 everything was catchy music. Como's "Magic moments" and " Catch a falling
star" were top tunes of the day. Easy repetative music was the food of the day. Sadly
things were changing as the sixties and the Beatles took over with their well-written
songs and even Perry Como had to wait twenty years till he was back in the charts
with " It's impossible". Instrumentals were also the name of the day in 1959 with
Duane Eddy, Johnny and the Hurricanes, etc, producing exciting dance music. Very
little of this music has survived today except for nostalgic programmes. There are
however a few classics with this 4CD set.*******.
